| Programm | We are very pleased to invite you to our annual society meeting, the Swiss Congress of Radiology 2026 (SCR’26) which will be held from May 28-30, 2026, in the SwissTech Convention Center of the EPFL, in Lausanne. The Swiss Society of Radiology (SGR-SSR) and its associated societies (SGPR-SSRP, SSVIR, SSER, SSSR, SSRMP), as well as the SVMTR-ASTRM (Swiss Association of Radiographers) and the SGNM-SSMN (Swiss Society of Nuclear Medicine) are making a great effort to develop an attractive programme over three days. It includes many educational and scientific sessions, exciting lectures covering the entire spectrum of diagnostic and interventional radiology as well as more dedicated sessions for each subspeciality. For this, we have invited renowned national and international speakers. The opening session on Thursday will introduce a national strategy for diagnostic imaging with artificial intelligence addressing radiological, technical, and ethical considerations. In addition, on that day several plenary sessions will focus on abdominal imaging. We will repeat the now-popular session entitled “One case – Three lessons”, where we explore challenging cases encountered in the clinical practice. On Friday, the programme begins with a session on breast cancer screening, a topic that has recently gained political attention in Switzerland. In the afternoon, three distinguished speakers will share insights on the future of radiology regarding costs and education, from Swiss, German, and broader European perspectives. Furthermore, on Friday afternoon we will repeat our usual residents’ session “How to survive the nightshifts” which has always been a great success, not only from the residents’ point of view. Finally, the Saturday course entitled “Why does it hurt when I run” will cover key principles of musculoskeletal imaging of the lower limb. We very much hope that the most important aspect of our congress, namely the conviviality of the exchange between colleagues will be able to flourish as usual in 2026. On Friday, we are therefore looking forward to spending a wonderful society evening in the Olympic Museum with you, our colleagues, and other new guests while enjoying a magnificent dinner and party! | |||
